Poor reception

Patricia, West Yorkshire, stayed: July 2022

The reception was atrocious, neither friendly or efficient. Impossible also to get them on the room phone!

Romantic Break

LF, Lancashire, stayed: July 2022

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Lovely for a romantic break, would definitely recommend. Complimentary drink on arrival & boat trip on Windermere just added to the positive experience.

An amazing stay

Domenico G, stayed: August 2022

It was an absolutely amazing stay at the Belsfield. It is a beautiful hotel and the view of the lake from our room was amazing. The welcome at reception was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. The evening meal was beautiful and Siron and Jurgen in the restaurant were fantastic and very friendly. We had breakfast in our room, which again was amazing. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Special birthday break ruined

GL, Lincolnshire, stayed: August 2022

Ours stay was 'highjacked' by there being a wedding on both nights - the first night (18 August) was particularly busy and noisy. This meant that we were unable to take advantage of the bar and lounge areas. It also meant that breakfast was akin to being on a cruise, with queuing, etc. Overall, not luxurious or relaxing.

Birthday Celebration Disappointed

Anon, stayed: September 2022

I booked the hotel to celebrate my friends
70th birthday. The hotel gave us an upgrade
to a Garden Room which was a surprise. However the
room was in need of a refurbishment
from the bedding to the furniture. The walls
were very thin so hence noisy from the room
attached. I was very upset as I had booked
This as a surprised but not with a negative reaction from
our friends. I will not be returning to the hotel.
I did complain but all I got was sorry about
that . I dread to think what the Double Room
Looked like!!

Golden wedding

Anon, stayed: October 2022

Our stay at the Bellsfield was a gift from our Son and family in New Zealand.
We were disappointed in the size of our room although the beds were comfortable. Breakfasts were good with very friendly staff. Dinner menu was disappointing and the same both nights. Hotel a bit soulless with no cosy bar to meet other people. So maybe not a couples hotel.

Two day break

SH, Staffordshire, stayed: October 2022

Nice welcome and check in was quick and simple, parking included on site was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, as it can be expensive to park around town.
Meal on first evening was excellent good quality food and excellent service.
Bedrooms and bathroom were as expected, good nights sleep, and although shower was either rain head or hand held (no riser rail to park shower head, just a low down bracket)
Breakfast on first morning was ok with a table overlooking the lake was pleasant, good selection of fruits, cereals and juices and a menu for hot food, service very good.
Breakfast second morning was very busy (same time for both days) service was slower and portions of hot food were not to same standard as day before.
Will use again and would recommend as ideal place to stay if visiting the lakes.

Honeymoon

Anon, stayed: October 2022

Hotel location lovely, beautiful view of the lake
Check in didn't give good first impression as receptionist needed customer care training
Bar and restaurant staff superb

Suite had lovely view of lake but shower seal needed good clean. Appreciate staff shortages in hospitality but some areas of cleaning are vital

Not sure if we would stay there again but had good time
