Pleasant stay

Alice A, Cornwall, stayed: April 2023

Very nice hotel with most of the staff ver helpful & friendly.
I thought there was room for improvement with the restaurant.
Not a lot of choice & being gluten free was even less. It was either have what was listed or do without.
No alternative even though I did state on my booking that one was gluten free.
Went out for dinner after that.
Lovely location overlooking the lake.
We would stay again as room only but eat out.

The Belsfield Experience.

Francis, Lancashire, stayed: March 2023

Nice hotel in a wonderful location with the all important car park. Automatic entrance doors would be nice. For us the restaurant was excellent and very friendly with good food and great scenery. Comfortable lounge areas with friendly bar staff. Our bedroom was spotless with a lovely en-suite, and the only disappointment was the springy mattress. The lift was an antique but never let us down. We would certainly visit again. Francis.Lancashire

We stopped for 2 nights parking on site very good booking in good room disappointed with view but I was not prepared to pay 40 extra per night .restaurant was very good all meals we had very satisfied. I would return to bellfield again ..all I would say that on an evening it was very quiet may be lacks abit or atmosphere but that may suite a lot of people.

Retirement

Julie B, South Yorkshire, stayed: March 2023

Beautiful place to stay ,from arriving staff were so helpful, the only thing that I would be cautious off we had a package off 35 per person and are meals didn't even total that amount and we had to pay 97.towards it ,we had 20% of wine which we was
aware, apparently the water isaid it was supplements so if you book a package look on the menu to see what you can have .

visiting after many years absence

Anon, stayed: February 2023

interested to see the changes since our previous stays. very nice and of course, now there will be more changes as there is new ownership. our room was much improved on our previous stays. the bathroom luxurious with underfloor heating, large shower and roll top bath. coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods. also a kettle and everything for other drinks. big asset very friendly and helpful staff, especially reception Matthew and a concierge who helped with our bags. dining room experiences mainly good apart from lobster ravioli way too thick pasta and not cooked enough. cooked breakfast to order was cold. I was happy with the continental choices on offer. lots of eating out locally and think would do this for dinner in future. massive plus is free parking and a walk through the grounds to the waterfront and boat trips.

Wheelchair accessibility

Yvonne, Lancashire, stayed: December 2022

Access was good, although the entrance door and corridor door and threshold were challenging if there was no one around to help.
Lovely wet room in the adapted bedroom. The only drawback being the height of the bed.
It needs to be a little bit lower to facilitate the transfer from a wheelchair.
I managed with help from my husband but it wasn t easy and I felt in danger of falling.
We ve stayed in this room before, so were aware of the difficulty.
It s a lovely hotel and all of the staff were polite, pleasant, friendly, helpful and professional.
