Hotel and Spa review

The spa and staff were excellent. Both skilled and with a lovely manner. Pool, sauna and steam room also excellent and it was good to have aqua class available. Hotel was good but room was perhaps not as large as expected. Balcony with views helped! However I did think parking expenses were excessive.

Don't book a balcony room

As a treat my partner booked a 2 night stay in a balcony room.. I was very looking forward to staying in this room and fully expected a view of the lake.. Wrong.. Was more like a tetra e with a 5 foot wall. Partial view of lake and better view of car park. I believe I was put in this room as I had not booked direct.. A complete sham.. Definetly was not worth the money.. When I complained said basically hotel is full bit could move us the following day.. Not great when you are only staying 2 nights. Then said they would give us Dinner if we stayed put in the room we were go em... Sad as it was my 50th birthday weekend a year late due to lockdown... Don't waste your money on a balcony room. A room with no view. The assistant manager James was very nice but in sure he totally understood it was not what we had booked

Loved staying here

Very friendly staff, we were looked after all of our stay from the moment we stepped through the door. Room was lovely and spotless. Restaurant was great and the spa was really nice. Everything about the place made our short stay great. Thanks to all the staff.

good stay , staff very welcoming and helpful , room poor & not deluxe double bed but two singles pushed together, albeit still comfortable but not expected !

overall ok stay but would not choose the room again as somewhat dated & not correct bed

Lovely hotel and restaurant

. But a little TLC with regard to furnishings in the room, power shower would make it perfect
The staff were friendly and efficient although the restaurant seemed a little chaotic with meals frequently going to the wrong table.

Fabulous place and people

The location, overall quality and the staff were all first-class. Particular shout outs to Ahmed on Reception, Simon and Katherine in the Restaurant and Sophia in the Spa (the only reason why I scored this lower as one of the Sauna's was out-of-order - otherwise...) - all very friendly and helpful. I also scored a 'good' for 'value-for-money, as I am assuming because it was Bank Holiday that the price was slightly inflated - but I still have no complaint's. Overall - 'Excellent' and me and my son will be returning.
