Fantastic short break
Had a wonderful time at Lindeth Howe, great location for a walk along the lake.Lovely decor inside the hotel with a relaxed friendly atmosphere The food provide during our stay including an afternoon tea, evening meal and breakfast was of a good standard. The bar area is a lovely smart social area to unwind. Can t fault the place and will be back later this spring with friends for another short break.
Short stay
One of the best hotels I've stayed in.
Will definitely be back.
Staff were excellent , they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Short stroll into town, bus and ferry easily reached. Perfect!!
Lovely stay
Stunning hotel in a beautiful setting. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was fabulous and the room was lovely with a fantastic view. Just a short walk from bowness.
Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again.
Fabulous place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Linderh Howe, the hotel was lovely and cosy and very clean. Staff were so welcoming and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. We only stayed for one night and wished we had booked two nights. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We will definitely return!
A perfect break
A great two night stay, we would have been happy to stay longer. The room was very spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the excellent meals. Friendly and helpful staff especially as my husband has some mobility problems. We will definitely be back!

Our romantic break at Lindeth Howe, Bowness on Windermere
We enjoyed our stay at Lindeth Howe, despite the bad weather - it rained nearly all the time we were there. It meant we had to take the car and visit National Trust properties in the vicinity, as it was too wet to walk locally. We had prepared for this as we are familiar with the Lakes weather!
We had a lovely room at the hotel with a very comfortable large bed and cosy chairs to sit by the window, overlooking the spacious garden. To welcome us was a beautiful basket of flowers, a bottle of Prosecco and a box of truffles - all delicious. We were a little disappointed with the restaurant, billed as AA 2 Rosettes. We would have said, more like up-market pub food, although the dessert I had on the 2 nights we stayed was delicious and very imaginative.
