Wonderful relaxing break for our wedding anniversary
Had a great time at Lindeth Howe celebrating our wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite was lovely, clean and comfortable and we loved the lounge and bar areas which have been recently refurbished. Food and service was excellent. We would definitely stay again!

Strange to find no obvious reception (the room itself is hidden by the front do and not well signed - it looked like a storage area.).
The bedroom room was somewhat disappointing in cleanliness with cobwebs on the inside of the windows and hair in the bath plug blocking it.

I was saddened to read your review, we pride ourselves on providing a service that we are not only proud of but also makes people want to return time and time again.
We have of course passed your comments to housekeeping regarding the room.
We do have a separate reception area that is quite informal, I am sorry if this was not to your liking.
Birthday weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break to celebrate my husband's special birthday. Lovely room overlooking the lake, very comfortable. Restaurant was excellent.

From the greeting to the sad departure we had felt very welcome and well catered for. The food was exceptional and the bar had an excellent selection.

Very upsetting experience
We spent almost 300 on a one night, afternoon tea, dinner, B&B stay. Afternoon tea and dinner were lovely. Disturbed around 3.30 am by people coming in to the room next door.. TV blaring etc. Eventually had to bang on their door. We're convinced it was hotel staff but hotel claims not. Very poor and disappointing final reply from hotel manager. Ignored my request to reimburse accommodation cost for the night (I'm happy to have paid for dinner).. even Premier Inn would have offered that with no quibble. We saved up for this one night as a 50th birthday treat.. and it was ruined.. hotel manager seems unable to appreciate how upsetting it is. Am sending a final letter to the hotel

I am very saddened to see you that you have decided to leave this review after all the communication we have had between us, once again, there was absolutely no possibility of it being a member of staff in the room overnight, you made no effort to contact the member of staff on duty that night, all that was required was that you dial 0 from the room and a team member would of come and dealt with any situation there may have been, this would have avoided this entire situation. Our MD has been in touch, as I have myself on many occasions, however, it seems that unfortunately, we will be unable to come to an agreement on this matter.

Very nice country Hotel
Very imposing hotel in a nice setting. Attentive welcoming staff, large comfortable bedroom, very good dinner and afternoon tea. We would certainly recommend it. We booked through offpeak luxury and got a very good price.
