Cragwood Country House Hotel

On arrival the receptionist did not know the details of our off peak deal but I was able to show her my email confirmation and all was well.
A stunning location with some beautiful features . and the sun shone for us.
The food was outstanding and we would thoroughly recommend.

My husbands 60 th birthday, had a wonderful stay which started with a lovely welcome from the lady on recrption,( sorry I cannot remember her name), we arrived an hour before check in and she checked if our room was ready and actually showed us to the room! A lovely touch, upgraded clean big room with a refurbished bathroom, evening meal in the restaurant was fabulous as were all the staff!! We stayed 3 nights and tried a different meal each night and the were all divine.log fires every night, faultless. We left a night early due to the storms to avoid travelling in them.
Cannot wait to return and experience this all again!

Absolutely Superb

Really enjoyed a weekend break at Cragwood House, the room was nice, not the largest although it has everything required with nice furniture. All the staff we spoke with were extremely helpful and friendly and the evening meals were out of the world. We will definitely be back.

Nice overnight getaway

Complimentary upgrade to lake view room which was beautiful
Staff couldn t be more accommodating or helpful
Dinner was a great experience and recommended
Only slight complaint was although breakfast had everything provided it was a little self service and some food was not as warm as could have been
All in all would highly recommend and would certainly go again

Just the job

Came to celebrate our wedding anniversary on a cold wet end of November night. The hotel was very welcoming and warm and the room very cosy.
Later we drank in the bar and dined in the restaurant, The log fires added to the ambience and the relaxed atmosphere. The 5-course meal was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
We had a lovely night's stay and a hearty breakfast in the morning before carrying on with our trip.
Cragwood was fabulous and we will be returning.

Fabulous stay!

We stayed overnight at the Cragwood hotel which included an evening meal and breakfast.
When we arrived we were welcomed by lovely friendly reception staff who showed us to our room in the old part of the hotel. Couldn t believe how beautiful the room was with amazing views of Lake Windermere! We d also been upgraded to room 1 the bridal suite!! I was hoping for robes and slippers which was my one and only niggle and would have made the stay beyond perfect!!
The meal was lovely and in a very relaxed environment. Started with an amuse bouche then gorgeous choice of starter, main and dessert with a coconut sorbet cleanser in between.
We slept incredibly well then had a delicious breakfast. Cannot wait to return!
