70th birthday celebration at Cragwood

We stayed at Cragwood to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday and had a fabulous time there. The staff were absolutely brilliant and even put special birthday messages in his dessert with a candle.
Our dog, Rufus was very welcome too and enjoyed his doggy welcome pack very much.
We'd live to stay again oneday.
Thank you Cragwood.

Luxury stay at Cgragwood

We had a wonderful few days here The weather was also amazing The gardens and grounds are perfect for a stroll and a morning dog walk
The ground floor room was excellent for the dog opening onto the garden
The staff were extremely helpful snd the gourmet dining very good

A few days at Cragwood

It was our second visit and everything was good about it. Location, ambiance and especially the staff.
They were always helpful and pleasant: particularly the young lady who looked after us, when our family joined us for an evening meal in the Bar on May 14th. We are looking forward to our next visit!

The location and vista was truly excellent. Full marks for friendly staff who were more than helpful. Restaurant was good but the same menu was shown for the whole of our stay which in my opinion ought to have been varied which was the only negative throughout our stay.

Well positioned between Ambleside and Windermere with spectacular views across the lake.

Perfect!

From the friendly, helpful staff to the beautiful location, every part of our stay was excellent . The evening meal was a special highlight with delicious food served to a high standards all round. We were lucky, the sun shone throughout our stay, so we could enjoy long lazy lunches on the patio, overlooking the lake followed by a gentle stroll round the grounds to the lake side.
We had a bed breakfast and evening meal package, with welcoming bottle of Prosecco, which was great value and provided a proper treat for all our party of 6. Every member of staff played their part in ensuring our stay was a great success- a real gem, we will stay at Cragwood again..
