Very enjoyable stay at Appleby Manor Hotel.

Lovely stay at Appleby Manor

This is a lovely hotel, very clean, spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Shower excellent, spacious bathroom. We had a garden room so patio doors opened onto terrace. As the weather was lovely for February we really enjoyed this room. The spa is very clean and relaxing.

Lovely setting but needs investment

The view from the restaurant over the valley is beautiful. However the view from our room was of some AC units on a roof. Disappointing for our luxury mini break. The food in the bistro was mediocre. The spa was also quite tired with some of the jets not working or blowing out cold water. We we re both disappointed at the quality at this hotel however it was still a relaxing night away.

Amazing food

We loved our stay here, the staff are great and it's such a beautiful location! The thing that stuck out the most for us was the food, absolutely delicious.

Lovely stay, everything was perfect.

We only stayed one night and it was so nice we will definitely be coming back for a 2 night stay in the near future. The service throughout was excellent without being over the top. Our meal was great too. The only weakness was the bathroom, there was a TV in it in which was unnecessary and didn t work very well.

Weekend Break

We were fortunate to be able to choose this lovely hotel when we were given a voucher by my Husband s company.
We were greeted by a friendly staff member on arrival who gave us a tour of the hotel and then took us to our room which was very well appointed and looked out over both the conservatory and the garden. We had our evening meal in the restaurant on the first night and the service was excellent and my being a vegetarian was not a problem at all as there was plenty on the menu to choose from.
The second evening we ate in the bistro which was superb with an excellent choice of food, very generous portions and lovely staff.
We had afternoon tea on the third day which was again absolutely excellent and more than enough.
The staff were very knowledgeable about the local area and there was a lot of information about walks and trips out into the Lake District and beyond. Really nothing was too much trouble and I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

Perfect location to take some time out for some indulgence

Lovely warm welcome and nice to be shown around the hotel (rather than just being told). Room was very comfortable with everything to hand (Garden Room) and lovely to have the patio area even though it was too wet to fully appreciate it. Food was outstanding, both in the restaurant, the Bistro and breakfast, and the portions were very generous - including the afternoon tea!. The staff throughout the hotel that I interacted with (Grahame, Paul, Joseph) and in the spa (Teri-Anne, Courtney and Natasha(?)) were all wonderful and, being a lady on her own, I felt they were easy to talk to, but didn't over fuss. The location was beautiful - on a ridge overlooking Appleby and the Settle-Carlisle railway in the valley below. Loved it, and will be returning one day
