Really enjoyable and clen

The Hotel is really well positioned next to Windermere, on arrival was very warm and welcoming, staff was very pleasant and helpful, the room was really nice and lovely view over the lake, most definitely be going again highly recommended.

Birthday celebration

In current restrictions we found the hotel had all precautions under complete control. The restaurant
was very good and service very good. Excellent food and well organised. The view from our
room was stunning as we had a balcony room.
Wine too expensive though
Not happy about having to pay 45-00 for parking during our 3day stay.

Brilliant location by the lake . Reception staff excellent. All the staff were courteous and helpful.
Good room with lake view and drinks on the terrace upon arrival. Our deal included 50 off the evening meal and were only charged for drinks . Love to come again.

Waterside weekend

Good basic hotel . Room was clean and tidy , but not much of a view and doves were nesting , so a bit noisy . The restaurant food was good , although needs a warmer atmosphere . The spa was very good and staff very good and helpful.

Great location & service

Great location on lake Windermere with good service.
The terrace and lawn we're nice locations to enjoy a drink. Restaurant had a view over the lake with a good selection of vegetarian meals, wine was a little expensive.
Parking is 20 a night and is not located on-site.
The pool was a good size and was operating under limited capacity when we visited.

Nice stay

Booked a package via Country Hotel Breaks. Nice room. We greatly enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the first night.
Staff were great.
The fire alarm in the middle of the night not ideal but these things happen I suppose - certainly would have been worse if hotel had actually been on fire.
Had to take the onus on some things ie making sure that spa credit as part of package was actually applied.
We didn t enjoy the spa facilities for several reasons - didn t meet our expectations in that we thought it would be a bigger area, but largely it was uncomfortable because it was busy and other guests monopolising the pool - obviously that s out of the hotel s control but I would suggest offering time slots sometimes.
Spa treatments not particularly good value for money.
