Off peak luxury were excellent throughout the booking process - would definitely use them again and strongly recommend them

All staff were polite and welcoming. The hotel was very clean and well presented. Restaurants were very good with the excellent standard set by staff maintained. A simply beautiful location.
The bed room was small, but otherwise we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Well needed break with luxury and comfort

It was a well needed break for myself and my wife. We were even able to take our little dog along as well. It's a Beautiful hotel, Beautiful room, and Beautiful views. The staff were very good, very polite and very helpful. We didn't use the spa but it looks beautiful. We will definatly be going back there again.

Small changes

After evening meal there was little to do.

Getting in and out of the shower was awkward. The step up was high and there was nothing to hold onto for safety.

4 night stay at Low Wood 21st - 25th July

Very relaxing stay at Low Wood with our dog, Sonny.
Couldn't be more welcoming for both my wife and I, and our Doodle!

Great Location between Ambleside & Windermere, although the location on Ambleside Road is pretty dangerous if trying to cross to the Lakeside.

Blue Smoke restaurant was very good and great value for money.

Heartily recommend this a base for a break in the Lakes

nice stay

Had a good stay, our original room in the older part of the hotel was a problem in that the ceiling boards were very noisy with the guests in the room above walking around. we asked to be moved and was put in the Winnader annex.
If you go to the Low Wood, this is the place to stay, absolutely fabulous in every way and you feel detached from the main hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at Low wood bay. Reception staff were all lovely. A few of our waiters and waitresses we felt didn t want to be there which made it an awkward atmosphere. We also unfortunately could not book in the W restaurant for an evening meal which was a real shame as it looked lovely! The spa and hotel was overall lovely. We had a great few days relaxing after our wedding. Thanks again. I will recommend this hotel to anyone for a relaxing get away.
