Peace and quiet in Bowness on Windermere
The hotel is undoubtedly isolated; this suited us as we wanted to walk, but for anyone less able they should understand the hotel's position in relation to the town. only disappointment was the dinner menu. It is the same every day, and by the third evening we had exhausted the items we fancied! Afternoon tea, served in the garden, was delicious!
A lovely relaxing stay.
We had 3 night stay at the Lindeth Howe hotel which is a short distance from Lake Windermere, in a quiet peaceful & beautiful setting. We had a lovely room, spacious with nice furniture, even a view of the lake through the trees. For some the lack of a lift could be a problem. There is ample parking adjacent to the hotel. The gardens were colourful with tables & chairs on the grass. We very much enjoyed our stay.
We invited our son & family for an evening meal with us, our grand daughter has many allergy s, but the waiter & chef were excellent in putting us at ease.

Outstanding!
Absolutely loved our stay at Lindeth Howe. The room and views from it were fantastic. The staff were amazing from our first phonecall before we arrived until check out. Afternoon tea was lovely and the dinner was absolutely amazing! Even the breakfast stood out as being really well cooked. The walk through the gardens into Bowness was very pleasant and meant it was relaxing to arrive in the car and leave it parked up until we checked out. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Lovely Lindeth
We stayed 3 nights at the end of July. The food was fantastic and we had breakfast dinner and a high tea and they were all of the same standard. Room was spacious and very comfortable with double aspect windows overlooking the gardens. The decor was 1st class and someone has gone to great lengths to ensure it all looked special.

4 night stay
We were happy with the room
We were happy with the breakfasts
what we weren't happy about was the choice of food for the evening meal. We had booked the five course meal for each evening. We arrived on a Monday and it was the same menu for the four nights. The food was well prepared and presented but we were disappointed with the choices.
We weren't always given the bonne bouche or the pre dessert course.
The nicest tables were close to the window. One evening we were given a table at the back of the room where it was too dark to see what we were eating. . The staff were not prepared to relay a vacated table with better light.
Cosy stay Beatrice Potter theme
Good service and location, good gardens average rooms no upgrade not a luxury room, good restaurant I would have expected a better quality of room to qualify as a luxury package. suggest OPL to book better grade of room as a minimum standard to qualify as a luxury label
