Celebration of a significant birthday and some walking in the Lake District

Excellent stay. Staff very helpful and great food. Really loved the character and decor. Ideal location to explore Windermere and for walks around the Southern Lakes.

Enjoyable stay

We stayed at Lindeth Howe for one night. The staff were friendly and welcoming and served us a really delicious afternoon tea on our arrival. The scones were especially good! We had a lake view room which was lovely. The mattress on the bed could do to be replaced and the paintwork in the bathroom also needs attention but other than that the room was great. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent, couldn t fault it. The only thing that let it down was two of the younger staff at dinner made us feel rushed. No sooner had we finished one course when the next one arrived. This spoiled our enjoyment but not enough to put us off going back. We would stay again and would recommend it to others. We particularly liked all the references to Beatrix Potter around the hotel which made it feel quirky and interesting. Loved the decor too.

Romantic break

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Decor was fab and staff friendly. Food was excellent and the whole break was excellent value for money. Hotel also has a free to use electric car point for guests to use, which we found very useful. I understand they are going to have more. This element should be advertised.
