Great weekend, staff great and restaurant excellent.
Rooms all comfy and spacious.
Highly recommend the hotel.

An enjoyable stay but disappointed in some respects

The hotel is well located, very clean and welcoming with excellent staff. The room was pleasant with a nice view of the Lake. The bathroom was modern but had no window or extractor fan. The tall towel rail could not be switched off making the bathroom heat unbearable and subsequently the bedroom. We mentioned it at Reception to be told that it couldn't be fixed, nor could another like for like room be offered. Disappointing.Also the dinner menu is repetitive offering the same each night so selection is very limited.

We had a fabulous time at the Lindeth Howe Hotel. It was beautiful. Really quaint and quirky. The room was comfortable and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was delicious but the menu was repeated each evening. That is the only bad comment we have. An exceptional place to stay. We loved it. Perfect location too.

Comfortable and welcoming!

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights this week as part of an 'Off Peak Luxury' package. We have enjoyed a number of these or Travel Zoo-type deals over the years and I have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable.
The location was, for us, perfect. Apart from the beautiful grounds, the distance from the main town of Bowness worked well. We enjoyed the walk both ways and the chance to explore Bowness. If you don't fancy walking, then it's just a short car or taxi drive.
The hotel and its facilities we found just perfect. Lovely comfortable room with stunning view (see photo) and plenty of assorted lounge areas in which to relax. The restaurant, we found exceptional. The dinner menu was a limited but very adequate table d'hote, and each dish was not just delicious, but clearly designed with combinations of interesting and local elements. Breakfast was both efficient and tasty too.
But most notable for us was the friendliness and genuine helpfulness of every member of staff that we encountered. It started from the time we first entered the hotel, when Molly warmly greeted us, willingly helped us with our luggage and ran us through the key features of both the hotel in general and our room in particular. (We also noticed Molly helping an American guest to set his SatNav the following morning!) Thereafter, every encounter with reception, bar, restaurant or housekeeping staff made us feel both cared for and appreciated.

Linderh Howe Bowness

An excelornt fhoice, friendly staff nice 5ooms and lovely gardens. 1 minor critcism is that the restaurant menu did not change and it would have been nice to have offered a special of the day

Lovely romantic hotel in a beautiful location

On arrival we were greeted by friendly, efficient staff we booked us in and showed us our room. Our package included champagne, chocolates and flowers; the champagne was nicely chilling in our room on arrival and was an extremely pleasant drink, the chocolates were delicious and the flowers beautiful. The room was extremely comfortable, with quality towels and bedding and the dressing gowns were an additional luxurious touch.
Dinner and breakfast were served in the hotel restaurant over looking the hotel grounds, the set menu was a little restricted but perfectly adequate for 2 nights we stayed. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Service in the restaurant was excellent, with a very friendly and helpful waiter whose name I have forgotten (sorry).
The hotel is situated an easy 15 minute walk, through the gardens and along a pathed road into Bowness.
