A hotel with good potential

My husband and I booked this hotel as a relaxing break after we both had serious illnesses. Our initial impression at the location and reception were very good. Sadly our room was a great disappointment
.
It was situated at the far end of the hotel, a good five minute walk from reception and restaurant and although clean and neat with a narrow view of the lake the furniture was very old and more than a bit tired. This is a room in great need of refurbishment. In no way did this room reflect the luxury of the spa or the quality of the excellent food in the restaurant. We found the staff equally helpful and attentive. In the future we intend to revisit and would hope that our stay would meet our expectations of a luxury hotel.

Spa Break

What a nice hotel big room great pool lovely spa.

Just a couple of niggles the first relates to all you Spa's out there. You all need a choice of veggie/vegan options on the menu. The Veggie food at this hotel was spot on, but the choice was limited to 1 item on the main.
Staff were mostly good on our last morning it poured down but the hotel did not have a brolly and when we found out the valet would have gone for the car it was too late.

PS Risotto is not a choice it's a cop out.

Very over rated food over priced and not that good
Over half the staff haven't a clue.
Only thing I could so positive is good location

Fabulous break!

This hotel is fabulous, from the minute you step into the reception and throughout. Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous bedrooms with the most comfortable beds and fabulous dining. Have stayed here on many occasions and it is the hotel we always go back to.

The location was very scenic and handy for attractions and places to see.
