EXCELLENT LOCATION

We had a fabulous 1 night stay at the Cragwood Country House - a traditional hotel with traditional values.
The view from our room was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and the food top quality.
The hotel is in a lovely location, with beautiful well maintained gardens and a path leading through a pleasant wood to the waters edge! So peaceful and quiet.
Would we stay here again? Most definitely! :)

Beautiful gardens with lovely views.
Food was excellent, but disappointed that menu was the same for our four nights.
On arrival advised that our room would not be serviced. However one very kind member of staff did service our room on the last day.

An Amazing and Relaxing Experience - The Cragwood Country House

Our stay at the Country House on the whole was made extremely enjoyable by the Staff who were all so helpful and considerate. The Room was comfortable and had a tremendous view of the Lake and grounds. Special mention must go to the Chef and Kitchen Staff who produced some really amazing and exceptional meals during our stay. The only criticism would be that the menu was fixed during our stay with the same meals offered every day. That aside, we would highly recommend the Cragwood Country House for a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the Lakes. We will certainly be returning at the very next opportunity.

A lovely place for a break but dine out in the evening!

We were very disappointed with the dinner menu. For the price of the meal we would have expected a change of menu each night or at least one or two items changed. When I asked if there were potatoes with the main course which was pork, I was told, no but there were carrots - ONE. The breakfasts were excellent. Staff were exceptionally helpful and the location was lovely - a good evening meal would have made the hotel perfect.

Relaxing night away

The hotel was in a lovely setting, yet convenient to lots of places to visit. Fantastic food, clean and comfortable room and discreet but helpful staff. A great experience.

2 night stay with dog.

Had a lovely time here. Hotel and grounds are excellent. Whilst we brought our fighter was no evidence of dogs having been in the rooms before. Staff were all very helpful and charming. Nothing was too much effort. Would recommend and we may well be back.

Golden Special

We were celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary, a gift from our children.
We weren't offered an upgrade, also there was no Prosecco in the room (as per our package) on arriaval, but appeared later when mentioned.
We enjoyed our stay and the food was excellent with friendly helpful staff.
