Comfortable, relaxing stay, excellent food

Had a lovely overnight stay with my Mother in Law to celebrate her 90th birthday. The food was amazing and it was a really lovely relaxing stay and we definitely want to come back again soon.

Kate Hauser . The Joy`s of Cragwood.!!

My Partner and myself were more than happy with Cragwood!! We found it so peaceful and the Staff were very friendly. We booked half board and it was a delight to have a freshly cooked breakfast as opposed to the buffet` breakfasts that have been simmering for Hours!!! Dinner was delicious and again freshly seved and well presented.

We are definitely future Guests in this lovely Hotel.

Oh! Thankyou for the "After Dinner"box of Chocolates . Again homemade. a lovely Gift for my Parents!!

Amazing food and staff

This is an outstanding place. The staff are attentive and all really seem to enjoy their jobs. We felt very cared for in an unstuffy way. The food is totally amazing and my husband appreciated the choice of 77 gins. We had a beautiful room, but the bathroom is snug. We didn't sleep that well though - there were weddings going on with music quite loud til quite late, and the walls are very thin - heard our neighbours chatting and snoring! Would definitely come back for the food though.

A short break beside the Lake

We had a lovely, relaxing short break here at the Cragwood and will certainly be back.
The manager and staff were exceptionally attentive to our needs and went out of their way to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The reception was very welcoming, friendly and efficient and set the scene for our stay.
The restaurant food and service was very good at both dinner and breakfast times.
However, one small thing that perhaps should be clarified for your customers in future is in relation to the dinner timings - identified as being at or 8.30pm.
Let me explain.
We booked dinner for 7.30pm, thinking we would commence eating around about that time as we don't like eating too late. We came down at 6.45pm on the first evening for pre-dinner drinks but our order wasn't taken until 7.30pm, with canapes delivered shortly thereafter, and dinner didn't commence being served until about 8.20pm - nearly an hour later than anticipated.
Whilst this didn't detract too much from our enjoyment of the meal it is, perhaps, something to be noted.
As we were now aware of how things were organised for dinner we changed our dining time to 6.30pm for the second evening, without any problem, and this was much better for us.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the gardens were a pleasure to walk in and enjoy, being very spacious and well maintained.
Everyone involved should be given a pat on the back. Thank you for a very enjoyable break.
