Highly Recommended

We had a wonderful two night stay, the hotel was great and all the staff were highly attentive, pleasant and helpful, couldn't fault any aspect of our stay. The food was excellent and as expected. We will definitely return for our next stay in the Lakes.

Wonderful stay for our Wedding Anniversary

Nothing too much trouble. Lovely staff. Immaculately clean. Food out of this world. Freshly decorated and tasteful decor. Couldn t fault the staff, ambiance, service, food or room. Perfectly situated for Brockhole Activity Centre. If the hotel had a lake view it would have been perfect but this was easily resolved by a 5 minute walk to Brockhole. Would definitely recommend!

We were a little unsure about a trip away, as we had not even stepped inside a supermarket since before lockdown. We were reassured by the information on the website re Covid-19 measures. This was backed up by the situation in the hotel when we arrived. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. Safety measures were explained and kept to. We couldn't fault anything. Thank you.

Pleasant stay for 2 nights.

We enjoyed our 2 nights at Briery Wood. Room was pleasant opening onto the garden area nice for a morning walk. Room was clean and warm. The prosecco which should have been chilling in our room on arrival was forgotten but we advised reception and had wine with dinner instead.
Dinner was lovely on both evenings portions small but well prepared and presented. Breakfast was nice hot when served and freshly cooked.
Too far out of Windermere on a very busy road to walk but did an early trip to ensure we could park.
Walked to the lake from Windermere which was pleasant.
Would certainly recommend to friends or family looking for a couple of relaxing nights.

Christmas present voucher

Lovely hotel with excellent service. Our stay was courtesy of a christmas present voucher from our son and we chose well with Briery Wood. Car parking ample and convenient, the hotel had a nice comfy feel about it. The three course dinner was very tasty and breakfast just sets you up for the day.

Great break. Restaurant needs low lighting for evening meals. Too bright for a romantic meal/setting.

Our stay

We were looking forward to a break and chose the Briery Wood from Offpeak luxury.com. Nice hotel in a good location for visiting the Lake District. Whether it was due to opening up because of Lockdown, there were a few niggles which annoyed us. On one evening having booked for dinner we were waiting for 45 minutes before being taken through. We ordered a rose wine which tasted off and was sent back but this was not deleted from our bill. The breakfast was excellent but the menu for evening meal was in our opinion limited in choice.
