We were a little unsure about a trip away, as we had not even stepped inside a supermarket since before lockdown. We were reassured by the information on the website re Covid-19 measures. This was backed up by the situation in the hotel when we arrived. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. Safety measures were explained and kept to. We couldn't fault anything. Thank you.

Fantastic stay

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left all the staff were friendly and helpful. Always greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely clean modern room and amazing food. Great location as only 5 minute walk to Brockhole where you could catch a lake cruise or try an outdoor activity.

1 Night Stay

My husband and I stayed for just one night as a little break during a house renovation. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and it really felt like home from home. Lovely room with the comfort of a huge bed, very clean and as expected. If I had to make a complaint it would be that the bath was a jacuzzi bath but unfortunately didn't work but the hotel and staff were so lovely that we didn't mind too much. Excellent food and restaurant with very attentive waiters. Overall a lovely nights stay.

October break

This hotel was very friendly and exceptionally good value. It's position is convenient for both Windermere and Ambleside and there are many good walks nearby. We would stay there again.

Welcome Break @ the Lakes

A lovely hotel with a very friendly and quirky approach. Lovely grounds and very very pet friendly without being in your-face for other guests that don't have a canine companion. Food excellent. The only small downside is that the main road is dangerous to cross most of the day but only what you'd expect in the Lakes.

Wonderful stay for our Wedding Anniversary

Nothing too much trouble. Lovely staff. Immaculately clean. Food out of this world. Freshly decorated and tasteful decor. Couldn t fault the staff, ambiance, service, food or room. Perfectly situated for Brockhole Activity Centre. If the hotel had a lake view it would have been perfect but this was easily resolved by a 5 minute walk to Brockhole. Would definitely recommend!
