Unhappy
From arriving it all went downhill I would have expected to be shown to our room not as found going on a mystery hunt to find it
The Hotel was cold with no heating , the room was ok but the Bathroom appalling with mould around the windows hence the bathroom floor was soaked in the mornings , the taps did not function on the bath, the shower was lethal to step in and out the bathroom is in urgent need of refurbishment along with replacement windows.
I suggest you remove this Hotel from your Off Peak Luxury listing we were extremely disappointed

The staff were wonderful along with the food, however the leisure centre is shocking, mould and peeling paint on the walls. The mattress on the bed was so awful and when I pulled the sheets back I saw an old worn out mattress which sagged in the middle and an old throw blanket over the mattress instead of a topper.. I complained to staff and was told that I would receive an email. This was 1 week ago and I have still not heard from the hotel regarding the issue.
The 1 star customer service is due to no one contacting me regarding the issues we had.could have been lovely but unfortunately we will not be returning.

Only changed there evening meal every two nights not a good menu.
Awful smell in the attached bathroom
Foul smell from toilet. They knew as a window had been left open. They cleared it but the smell remained.

When we arrived, our room had not been booked. For ou first night, we had to transfer to a nearby hotel, which was not as nice. We moved back the following night. The mix up over our room rather spoiled the stay. To be fair, the staff on site did everything to make up for this mix up.
Nevertheless, I cannot offer anything but a negative review, due to the mix up. I would stress that we received an advance email to say our booking was confirmed. Clearly this was not the case.
Not for us
Wrote wrong review before for different hotel. This is our correct review
We will not be going back to this hotel. Shouldn't have other guests when a wedding is on

Our stay at the grange hotel on the 26 th January
The hotel was satisfactory car parking was difficult the space for blue badge holders of which I am was quite difficult and awkward to access. The bedroom was very comfortable and very beautiful very spacious. That however was the only good thing about the hotel. The evening meal was very average on the first nigh. Cost of the wines were highly expensive. The meal on the third night which we booked and wasn t included in our stay package the meal was very disappointing. The mains were very dry tge beef was over cooked tasteless and the description on the menus about the vegetables and potatoes were not the meal that was served. There were no prices on the menu so difficult to know what you were paying for in the meal. Not an enjoyable experience. On our check out morning we were presented by reception by the full amount of the stay no records they claimed of our off peak luxury packages and payment. Fortunately I had requested a paper copy of the confirmation of our stay and receipt of our payment from off peak luxury and I was able to prove to the manager of the hotel test we had paid for it in advance. The charges for drinks and for the poor good quality were very unsatisfactory. Very disappointing stay especially as we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We will not be going back there again.
Tired hotel
The overall look of the hotel is lovely but you can see where it has been beautified but not yet finished. The rooms look luxurious but lack the little extras like slippers, tissues in the bathroom. The tie backs on the curtains didn t match, the reading lights above the bed didn t work. The room was excessively hot in the night; luckily we had a front facing so could open the window. We spoke to some who had an inner room who couldn t get a breeze.
Our packaged offered a room upgrade this didn t happen & I wouldn t say it was crowded.
The food in the restaurant was delicious & service excellent however we booked a 5 course & got 3 being told they don t do 5 anymore. Breakfast was also very good.
The spa was cold, the steam room, sauna, pool even the hot tub too cold to linger. They should have harvested the heat from night time & diverted.
It could be lovely with a bit of money spent.
