My friend and I took my elderly Mother to the Belsfield Hotel. We absolutely could not fault anything so THANK YOU.

Love laughter and luxury

We were welcomed by a lovely man called David who throughout our stay was super helpful and friendly. Our garden room was great and we woke every morning to an amazing view over the lake. The restaurant was faultless other than the toast in the morning which was the only thing that could of been improved . The staff were all happy, friendly and helpful. Thank you for a perfect break

Weekend get away

Stayed here for two nights. Was impressed just by walking to the entrance, so knew it was a great choice of hotel. Great location. Views from garden were beautiful. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious. Room was really nice. Bathroom was lovely with large shower head. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Got seated straightaway for breakfast as went at the quiet time and views while eating was amazing. Had a choice of buffet/cooked breakfast and could change menu to suit taste, which was nice.

visiting after many years absence

interested to see the changes since our previous stays. very nice and of course, now there will be more changes as there is new ownership. our room was much improved on our previous stays. the bathroom luxurious with underfloor heating, large shower and roll top bath. coffee machine and plenty of coffee pods. also a kettle and everything for other drinks. big asset very friendly and helpful staff, especially reception Matthew and a concierge who helped with our bags. dining room experiences mainly good apart from lobster ravioli way too thick pasta and not cooked enough. cooked breakfast to order was cold. I was happy with the continental choices on offer. lots of eating out locally and think would do this for dinner in future. massive plus is free parking and a walk through the grounds to the waterfront and boat trips.

Change of room

Staff were very supportive when I requested a change of room. They were so helpful and understanding and a more suitable room for my husband and I was immediately allocated to us. Huge thank you to the young lady on the desk who went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful few days away in Bowness.

Beautiful setting, relaxing stay

We really enjoyed our one-night getaway at the Belsfield. Everything was ready for us including the voucher for a lake cruise, which we enjoyed and was a nice touch. The staff couldn t have been more helpful, the room was lovely, food was fab and we felt totally relaxed afterwards.

Very disappointing

For a supposedly four star hotel, the Belsfield is hugely disappointing. The room felt jaded as did much of the hotel. But the biggest let down was the quality of service. The restaurant service verged on the ridiculous at times when we were given wrong wine and desserts, only to be assured that they were what we had ordered. The staff during our stay must have bypassed their customer service training. Staff levels also seemed too low, with the bar left unmanned for long stretches. Since our stay we have heard of similar stories from other guests. It was a pricey stay but the quality didn t match the cost.
