Excellent dog friendly hotel

Fabulous hotel

This is a wonderful, dog friendly hotel where we have stayed several times before. It is one of our favourites and this time it was better than ever. The car had hardly stopped when someone came out to welcome us and ask if we would like help with our luggage. We were served tea and shortbread in the garden as soon as we were ready. The grounds are great with extensive lawns and woods for our two Labradors to explore. The food in the restaurant is out of this world with impeccable service. Breakfast was impeccable with personal service rather than a buffet. The room was spacious and comfortable with large fluffy towels provided in the bathroom that included a bath and separate shower. The view from the window was glorious. Could not have been better and a lovely way to end our holiday and celebrate our 36th Wedding Anniversary just a touch early.

We had a very enjoyable five nights at Overwater during a stay hosted by warm, friendly and highly efficient professionals.
The food was really excellent and we were well looked after and catered for throughout our stay.
The hotel is located in a good part of the Lakes and Keswick is easy to get to.

Lovely relaxing stay with excellent food. Warm welcome on arrival and nice touches with homemade shortbread and fruit liqueur in room. Hotel a little isolated if you like a wander into nearby attractions but perfect for a getting away from it all break.

Luxury escape

We enjoyed our stay at Overwater Hall very much, from the welcoming touches of fresh fruit, local shortbread and a sweet little decanter of liqueur in our room, to the exquisite four course meal in the restaurant and the very tasty Lakeland breakfast after a good nights sleep in the huge and comfortable bed. A little bit of luxury for a short escape from the world at a fair price.
