Enjoyable stay

Had a nice stay, staff very helpful, food very good, nice pool, steam room & sauna. Only down side was a small room with no view & a lack of sockets.

Had a fantastic weekend here with family, very nice hotel with nice friendly staff. Reasonable size rooms which were clean and of a high standard. The hotel had good covid standards also. Finally the price for our stay was very good from off-peak luxury.

Our 59th wedding anniversary was very enjoyably celebrated at this delightful hotel which, even in the rain and mists, provided us with a very happy (and extremely well fed) stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel lounge area was very comfortable. The bar was well stocked with cocktails available and dinner was a delight particularly the Sunday roast.
The hotel was well situated, halfway between Windermere and Bowness. This made walking preferable to taking the car..
We would definitely return..

Excellent hotel with superb service

Pleasant stay

The hotel was well located for visiting several tourist sites. The car park was sometimes difficult to negotiate and parking spaces were tight. Breakfasts were good, dinners were ok, some menu choices better than others. Staff were excellent. The room was clean, well equipped and there was a view of mountains in the distance. The decor however was somewhat gloomy, dark and oppressive.

Lovely weekend break

Lovely hotel in great location for exploring the Lake District . The hotel is of well above the normal standard you would expect for this price range and targets the higher end market of customers willing to pay that extra for good service and luxuries . Great food, alcohol on the expensive side 25 for bottle of wine with evening meal and although leisure facilities very welcome pool is small and very shallow . Would recommend and re visit .
