Outstanding dining

Our deluxe room was well furnished with an excellent ensuite with bath and shower, large wardrobe/dressing area, and quiet from other guests. The lounge/bar was luxurious with large sofas and the food served in the restaurant by the excellent staff was exceptional.

Perfect resort for relaxing and walking

From the friendly reception to the final goodbye, the staff here are simply great. The food is superb, ambience very relaxing and situated 10 minutes from Derwent Water and 2 mi items from the fells the location is ideal.
Only minor negative is that the bed was a little on the small side for a 6 4 bloke but otherwise it was perfect.

We visited borrowdale gates hotel many year's ago this visit was our Christmas present. It didn't disappoint it's just as good as ever the food is excellent and the rooms are lovely and staff very helpful

Weekend break

Borrowdale Gates is a gem of a hotel. This was our second stay in 4 months which I think says everything. Bedrooms and bathrooms beautiful. Food very good. We relished it all. Staff so very friendly. Will definitely return.

50th anniversary celebration

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay celebrating our 50th anniversary. The staff were very efficient and helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff very professional and the food was excellent.
